SAR CAPTAIN (AW189)

Resource Group is currently looking on behalf of his client BIH for SAR Captain Pilots AW 189 (Support Helicopter) to be based in Falkland Islands (on the Patagonia Shelf). This is a fantastic opportunity to operate in a truly unique and challenging environment with a stable roster pattern and long-term contract.

 

 DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

  • Maintaining familiarity with relevant United Kingdom air legislation and agreed aviation practices and procedures.
  • Maintaining familiarity and adherence to such provisions of the Company Operations Manual as are necessary to fulfil his/her function.
  • Observation, maintenance, and compliance of Company SOP’s
  • Monitoring co-pilot handling, aircraft limitations, aircraft performance, fuel checks, navigation, terrain clearance and overall safe conduct of the flight.
  • Maintaining a high personal standard of discipline, conduct and appearance as a representative of the Company.
  • Leading by active example, in the development and maintenance of high standards of professional expertise, discipline and morale.

 REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid CAA/EASA ATPL(H) (Essential)
  • 500 hrs UK SAR experience: (Essential)*
  • NVIS experience (Essential)
  • Valid AW189 or AW139 type rating (Desirable)

 

*Consideration may be given to candidates without dedicated UK SAR but holding appropriate and equivalent flying experience.

The successful candidate will need to comply with local Immigration Policies, Medical Requirements and Security Clearance Processes to obtain a relevant work permit in the locations the company has operations, if not a resident in the location.
