Purpose of Role:
The Assistant Chief Pilot is accountable for the professional standards of the flight crews under the authority of the Chief Pilot and operations and training safety management goals. Assists in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the flight department, including but not limited to – Scheduling of flight crews, review of Flight Risk Assessment Tools, administering quarterly conversations, performance reviews, assisting with the hiring of new flight crew, management of pilot staff.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists Chief Pilot in the following:
• Safe operation of all aircraft
• Assist in the hiring procedures.
• Perform back door reference checks on potential new hires.
• Perform quarterly conversations, performance reviews, and disciplinary coaching
• Assist Chief Pilot with Pilot Recognition program and Manage flight releases and tracking
• Assist in scheduling crew time-off
• Create and distribute memos for pilots regarding updates, SOP’ s, etc.
• Co-Chair Orientation and INDOC for new PIC/SIC along with HR
• Assist Chief Pilot with Pilot Townhall meetings
• Act as liaison for pilots regarding technical issues
• Participate and contribute in various flight operations meetings
• Manage pilot relationships and open communication

Qualifications Required:
Education & Experience
• Holds a valid Commercial Pilot or ATP Certificate
• Requires a minimum of 1-year experience directly related to 135 training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the 135-operation environment.
• Has a minimum of 500 hours total flight time
• Has no accidents or incidents within the last five years

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Excellent leadership, presentation, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and JI software required.
• Proficient with MS, Jet Insight, etc.,
• Excellent analytical writing skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.

Position: – Maintenance Controller

Purpose of Role: 

The Maintenance Controller serves as the central hub of information scheduling and overseeing the progress of all maintenance activities in coordination with the flight operations and management services departments. Adheres and promotes the Pacific Coast Jet’s Vision, Mission, and Values daily. Maintenance Controller provides direct oversight of any unscheduled or routine maintenance. Initiates MELs and ensures MEL procedures are followed. Coordinates all outstation maintenance activities.is the focal point for communications and coordination with Operations for the Maintenance department.

Manages parts operations within the maintenance department to provide the highest level of external and internal customer satisfaction, while maximizing return on investments through inventory control and expense control.  Effectively engages department personnel.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance for updating, tracking, and scheduling service inspections and checks.
  • Support contract maintenance as well as diagnosis of crews and troubleshoot maintenance discrepancies.
  • Ensure on time repair solution for AOG maintenance through arrangement and packing parts.
  • Supervise all delayed items along with coordinate with parts as well as schedule to effect on time repair.
  • Ensure to make on time decisions for schedule changes to resolve conflicts among maintenance and daily operations schedule.
  • Conduct apt routing before release of aircraft for Flight Control service.
  • Supervise entire over-night maintenance and ensure accuracy in paperwork maintenance.
  • Arrange for remote stations maintenance for AOG aircraft maintenance and ferry flight inspections.
  • Coordinate with crews and flight dispatch.
  • Ensure entire FAA regulations along with guidelines are enforced.
  • Support to coordinate contract maintenance services.
  • Supervise mis-sent or misplaced shipments for costs recuperation.
  • Research aircraft maintenance disburse and status to respective departments to ensure communication.
  • Ensure to troubleshoot installation procedures and tasks.
  • Recommend maintenance control equipment modification for updating.
  • Create and oversee monthly work orders for the PCJ fleet.
  • Create and manage third party maintenance work orders.
  • Order parts via purchase orders as directed by the maintenance staff.
  • Track and process core returns.
  • Coordinate with AP regarding invoices related to work orders.
  • Create a calibrated tool list and track currency.
  • Tracking of maintenance work in process and any associated labor hours.
  • Maintain approved vendor list as directed by the QA department.
  • Scan and file all related work order documents.
  • Assemble monthly customer invoices via a summary page. Tailor each invoice with a specific level of detail as requested by each customer.
  • Develops, communicates, enforces and monitors effective parts department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Creates annual parts department goals and budget in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational objectives.
  • Maintains an accurate and effective parts inventory control system that includes a perpetual and/or annual physical inventory.
  • Submits all parts warranty and return claims within the required time frame to receive maximum credit.
  • Maximizes use of all order discount programs to achieve management stock order goals.
  • Ensures all department tools and equipment are in good working order.
  • May be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Other duties as assigned by the DOM.

Qualifications Required:

Position: – Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Purpose of Role: 

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician performs all daily maintenance operations as directed by the Crew Chief and follows guidance on workflows and priorities as per plan. The Aircraft Maintenance Technician ensures high quality maintenance and regulatory compliance standards are kept during aircraft maintenance in accordance with the General Operating Manual (GOM) and General Maintenance Manual (GMM).

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Crew Chief and conducts work assignments as assigned
  • Performs work in compliance with Company policies and procedures, FAA regulations while demonstrating the highest standards of workmanship
  • Performs parts procurement to include verification of part authenticity, proper documentation, shipping/receiving and inventory management
  • May be required to travel on flights to provide maintenance support
  • May be required to provide rapid response and deployment when needed for aircraft on ground (AOG) maintenance support
  • Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events including post and pre-flight inspections.
  • Conducts hangar/shop facilities maintenance and inspections as required
  • Ensures hazmat (fuel/oils/batteries, etc.) is properly handled and disposed of along with ensuring proper PPE is utilized and safety procedures are followed
  • The ability to learn how to utilize and ascertain current aircraft status in Company Computerized Maintenance Program (CAMP)
  • Assures proper documentation and recording of all maintenance activities performed on company aircraft.
  • Assures that all personal in-house training requirements are met
  • Maintains all company GSE as directed
  • Regularly attends safety or other departmental meetings with the Crew Chief, Aircraft Fleet Manager or the Director of Maintenance as requested
  • Other duties as assigned by the Crew Chief

 

Qualifications Required:

Education & Experience

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Part 135 /145 turbine powered aircraft operations
  • In some cases, an entry level Technician may be waived on experience and 1 of 2 Mechanics certificates with the agreement that they will attain their second certification within 1 year of hire

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and understand all company manuals, Federal Aviation Regulations, Operations Specifications, aircraft flight/maintenance manuals
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Excel, etc
  • Scheduling flexibility to work overtime given the unpredictable nature of a constantly changing flight schedule and unscheduled maintenance demands
  • The ability to occasionally travel to off-site maintenance events and provide oversight of company aircraft, as well as scheduled maintenance events at repair facilities

Purpose of Role: 

The Aircraft Maintenance General Manager is expected to lead and manage all daily maintenance operations on the floor. It is expected that the General Manager works with Maintenance Management to set up guidance on workflows and priorities as needed. The General Manager also provides oversight and guidance for the Maintenance Technician Team. The General Manager ensures high quality maintenance and regulatory compliance standards are kept during aircraft maintenance in accordance with the General Operating Manual (GOM) and General Maintenance Manual (GMM).

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Overall supervision of all workflows including scheduling and work assignments
  • Continually strive for ways to optimize workflow, improve efficiency, and maximize shop organization
  • Direct management and supervision of all shop floor staff
  • Schedule/coordinate the retrieval of projects with customers
  • Plan and coordinate daily, weekly, monthly, and unscheduled maintenance activities
  • Trains new technicians on PCJ systems and procedures.
  • Plans, directs, layouts and coordinates the activities of the Maintenance Department to minimize delays and increase production and efficiency.
  • Trains and assists subordinates in proper procedures, methods, and practices to be followed in each respective duty.
  • Makes certain that the responsible mechanic properly executes all necessary work records.
  • Provide time estimates.
  • Conduct Quarterly Conversations and Annual Performance Reviews
  • Ensures that assigned personnel follow all quality, safety, and security procedures.
  • Performs work in compliance with Company policies and procedures, FAA regulations while demonstrating the highest standards of workmanship.
  • Performs parts procurement to include verification of part authenticity, proper documentation, shipping/receiving and inventory management.
  • May be required to provide rapid response and deployment when needed for aircraft on ground (AOG) maintenance support.
  • Conducts hangar/shop facilities maintenance and inspections as required.
  • Assures proper documentation and recording of all maintenance activities performed on company aircraft.
  • Assures that all personal in-house training requirements are met.
  • Maintains all company GSE as directed.
  • Regularly attends safety or other departmental meetings with the Director of Maintenance as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.

 

Qualifications Required:

Education & Experience

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.
  • Minimum 5 year of experience in Part 135 /145 turbine powered aircraft operations
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and understand all company manuals, Federal Aviation Regulations, Operations Specifications, aircraft flight/maintenance manuals.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Excel, etc.
  • Scheduling flexibility to work overtime given the unpredictable nature of a constantly changing flight schedule and unscheduled maintenance demands
  • The ability to occasionally travel to off-site maintenance events and provide oversight of company aircraft, as well as scheduled maintenance events at repair facilities.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • Ability to successfully pass a background screening
  • A valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • Constant physical activity including bending, reaching and with prolonged periods of sitting in aircraft cockpits.
  • Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds vertically through 4 feet and maneuver that load at arm’s length.
  • The ability to work from ladders and other equipment for extended periods.
  • The ability to work while kneeling for an extended period of time.
  • The ability to work on exposed aircraft parking ramp with rain and winds.
