Pilots

We’re always on the lookout for competent pilots. Please feel free to submit your CV if you meet our minimum requirements as shown below:

Captain – Minimum of 2000 hours PIC
First Officer – At least 600 hours total flying time with as much turbo-prop, twin time as possible. 

In addition to the above, a minimum of 50 hours Multi-Engine flying is also required. These criteria are operated due to the nature of our operation, being special mission maritime surveillance involving low flying over the sea.

  • Airtask Group (ATG), working in partnership with PAL Aerospace, are currently seeking applications for 2 full-time Mission Directors on the Dash 8 – 100 to 300 series aircraft.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a tactical picture, in-flight planning, communications and data transfer and direction of all aircraft sensors to detect and identify sea, air and land contacts, as well as recording all information acquired during a surveillance mission.

  • Airtask Group (ATG), working in partnership with PAL Aerospace, are seeking applications for 2 full-time TRI/TRE Captains on the Dash 8 – 100 to 300 series aircraft.

    Applicants will be expected to have relevant turboprop command experience and hold a TRI/TRE qualification on the Dash 8 or a similar type.

  • We are currently looking to recruit an experienced MEP pilot to operate a BN2 Islander Aircraft, single crew, on our scheduled VFR routes and charter and scenic flights from various locations throughout Scotland.

    The ideal candidate will be current on the BN2 aircraft (or similar type) and possess excellent inter- personal skills and be team orientated with a strong work ethic.

  • We currently have a requirement for a full time Maintenance Controller within our engineering department assisting the operation of both lifeline flights for communities in the west and north of Scotland and our Maritime Surveillance patrols based out of Inverness.

    This is a hybrid role however regular visits to our Head Office in Milton Keynes will be required.

    The position requires a dedicated and self-motivated individual who is able to work under their own initiative, together with the flexibility and ability to work to strict deadlines.

  • We are currently seeking to recruit a permanent full-time Unlicensed Station Engineer / Aircraft Mechanic to provide engineering support to our BN2 Islander aircraft which operate lifeline flight services to the local communities on the beautiful west coast of Scotland.

    This role will be based primarily in Oban and/or Stornoway.

    The ideal candidate will have knowledge of aircraft maintenance, modification and repair. Additionally, candidates will have knowledge of general aircraft maintenance and environment processes (FOD control, tool control, Health & Safety and COSHH) with a positive attitude to safety and an understanding of SMS and their role within the system.
