We are looking for type-experienced B777 instructors/examiners (EASA).

By Q2 2024, we will be launching our B777 network with the purpose of serving the global A.P. Moller-Maersk Airfreight product ("Own Controlled Flights").


Therefore we are looking for additional instructors/examiners to assist in the initial B777 qualification training & checking of our existing B767 pilot group.


You will be joining a well established Danish approved crew training department and ATO consisting of 55 active training and check personnel, headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark.


Duties will be defined in two phases:

  • Phase 1 (pre-launch): FSTD & GND school activities
  • Phase 2 (post-launch): FSTD, GND school and LIFUS


Maersk Air Cargo A/S is a company within the global A.P.Moller-Maersk group, currently operating 18 Boeing 767´s and 1 Gulfstream G450, with EIS of the B777 in 2024. Maersk Air Cargo have an unprecedented performance history, and served the UPS network in Europe for decades.


The job will include activities in (but not limited to): Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Denmark (various locations).

Allocated operating base: Billund, Denmark.

Start date(s): Conversion and instructor standardisation training will be on-going between DEC23-FEB24-.

Interview & Assessment: On-going Q3 & Q4 2023

Job type: 12 months fulltime contract, with potential for extension or employment as defined at a later stage. 

Job requirements

Minimum requirements:

  • * Minimum 8000 hours of total jet experience.
  • * Minimum 3000 hours operation of the B777.
  • * Minimum 1000 hours as TRI on B777.
  • ** Having 5 years total experience in conducting ground classes/ Simulator Training & Checking, whereas a minimum of three years on the B777 type. 
  • Date of last B777 flight within 12 months at date of application.
  • Hold a valid EASA ATPL(A) license & Class 1 Medical.
  • English Proficiency ICAO level 5 or higher.
  • Hold an EASA issued Instructor rating and Examiner certificate on type. (Note: The TRI may have lapsed for a short period, however the examiner certificate shall be valid at time of application).
  • No criminal record.
  • Be fully eligible to work within the EU.

* = It is acceptable to fall short in one of these three requirements

** = (should you meet the minimum years of instructional experience, but fall short in terms of total flying experience, your application may still be considered).
