B737 First Officer

We are seeking individuals who are disciplined, team-oriented, committed to maintaining the greatest standards of safety, and care about our customer needs.

Reporting to the B737 Fleet Captain this role will be under the immediate command and directly responsible to the Captain, in all matters relating to the operational safety and security of the Company aircraft.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs flight duties as specifically laid down by the Company with regard to the operation of a particular aircraft. 
  • Understands all operational details relating to the conduct of the flight, including the checking of flight plan fuel requirements, ATC restrictions and weather.
  • Draws the Captain's attention to any matter which may have been overlooked.
  • Informs the Captain immediately at any time, should you consider the aircraft is being handled incorrectly or placed in jeopardy
  • When the operating crew of an aircraft comprises two or more First Officers, the Captain shall nominate one First Officer as the second in command to be responsible for the aircraft should the Captain become incapacitated. 
  • Prepares to relieve the Captain or other crew members at such times as the Captain may direct
  • Assumes command should the Captain be unable to continue duties in flight. 
  • Understands the duties and responsibilities of other members of the crew.
  • Shall not operate unless he/she has operated the flight controls during at least 3 take offs and landings in the aircraft type or type simulator within the preceding 90 days.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Fiji Commercial Pilot License with passes in all ATPL subjects or Fiji ATPL License
  • Instrument Rating
  • Twin Engine Endorsement
  • 1500 hours allowable flying experience (1000 hours multi-Engine)
  • 250 hours Pilot in Command
  • Must be a Fiji citizen, holding a current Fiji Passport for at least 5 years.
