Southern Interior Flight Centre is seeking a full-time Chief Flight Instructor (CFI) for flight, simulator and ground training, and other administrative tasks. This is a very dynamic position which is responsible to provide direct day to day management and leadership while performing delegated operational authority.
Located in Kelowna, Southern Interior Flight Centre, a division of Carson Air, is a dynamic, aviation school well known for excellence in service, education, safety, and much more. We have a very dedicated group of skilled aviation professionals committed to offering safe, effective, real world aviation training who set high training standards to our students.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE or SKILLS
- Class 1 or Class 2 Flight Instructor Rating for the category of aircraft in which the flight training is to be conducted.
- Valid Category 1 aviation medical,
- No convictions under subsection 7.3(1) of the Aeronautics Act; or two or more convictions, occurring during separate unrelated events, under the Canadian Aviation Regulations.
- Related supervisory experience
- Willing to work at satellite bases for short periods of time, if necessary.
- Flexible to work for short notice training, testing or supervision duties.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Computer skills and familiarity with Internet as necessary to complete the required duties.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
